Do you Blekko? I do. I just got invited to a Beta version of the newest search engine on the block and I'm about to slash the web! Nyah, Nyah!
Alright, enough gloating. To be honest, it's not easy to reorganize the brain. After years of being programmed by Google and now trying to wrap my head around Bing the last thing I need is to learn a new search engine. I only JUST figured out Twitter!

So how is Blekko different?
The main difference is using what Blekko calls "slash tags." By using the forward slash as an appendage to your search term you can narrow the results before they are populated. That's different from Google which generally allows that after entering the search term. Uless you are using math operators.
The advantage would seem to be highly personalized results. It's the same idea as Twitter's hash tags and @twitter profile searches.
In this video a guy who knows way more than I do explains a lot better. I'm gonna dig into this a little more and I'll let you know how it turns out.
If you want a shot at trying Blekko out in Beta yourself just go to Blekko.com and follow on facebook or twitter and ask for an invite!
I got mine and I'm sticking with it!
P.S. So far there are no ads on Blekko... YaY! But I can't wait for Blekko News! Just another search engine who will ignore me...

Also, I'm going to play around with Blekko; thanks for the info.
Don't know how I missed this one! Thanks for the push... I love your stuff too. Especially when you get your duff up in the SW chats!
