There's an invasion of cartoon profile pictures on Facebook and it's getting worse! More and more Facbook users are replacing their profile pictures to cartoon ones. So, what's going on? Don't be afraid, these Facebook users are showing their support for an anti-child abuse campaign currently taking place on the social networking giant.
Childhood Cartoon Faces asks Facebook users to:
"Change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same...Until Monday [Dec. 6], there should be no human faces on Facebook but an invasion of memories."
By the looks of the "friends list" on Facebook, it's clear that many users do not support child abuse. However, how does changing a profile picture help deter child abuse? Unfortunately, no one really knows. It's not clear how the cartoon faces will help support the Childhood Cartoon Faces organization but if it's only a show of support then they have it.
