Sony PS3 Exclusive Video Games arriving in 2011

The creators of video game titles for the Sony PS3 are looking for big sales in the new year!  There will be a variety of Sony PS3 exclusive video games in 2011 which could also help to increase sales of the Playstation 3 video game system.

One of the early arrivals for video game fans in 2011 will be Mass Effect 2 (pictured via Amazon.com).  The title has a release date of January 18, 2011, so video game users will be popping the title into their Sony PS3 in less than three weeks.  The game is a popular sequel to the space-based RPG action title where you create and control Commander Shepard through a galaxy of unique planets with various missions.  The game will include exclusive bonus content as well.

Many of the new PS3 video game titles are popular sequels to other top selling hits and several won't arrive until late in 2011.  "Uncharted 3" may be among the most anticipated of the releases, as the new title "Drake's Deception" will arrive to video game players on November 1, 2011.  "Twisted Metal" and "Infamous 2" will arrive on December 31, 2011, clearly a bit late for Christmas, making it almost a 2012 release.

According to Allvoices.com report, there are at least thirteen hot PS3-exclusive titles coming in 2011.  These include "Infamous 2," "Yakuza 4," "Little Big Planet 2," "Motor Storm Apocalypse," "PlayStation Move Heroes, The Last Guardian," "SOCOM 4," "Twisted Metal, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One," "Resistance 3," "Killzone 3," and "Shadow of the Colossus."  These titles may force video game fans to buy themselves a PS3 if they just have to play the particular game. 

One of the great things about owning the Sony PS3 is not only its ability to play these exclusive video games, but also Blu-ray discs.  With that in mind, Sony has the advantage with these exclusive titles and the fact that video game fans can get a Blu-ray player as well.  The only edge right now for Microsoft seems to be its latest Kinect technology, allowing for motion control without the use of a controller, while the Sony Playstation's "Move" involves a funky-looking wand with a light globe attached to the end of it.  Still, Sony will hope that it's PS3's Blu-ray function along with many of these exclusive titles will give them an edge over Microsoft and Nintendo for 2011.
