There has been a lot of anticipation for the HTC Thunderbolt release date. Customers have pre-ordered, and been patiently, or impatiently waiting for their Thunderbolt. There are new reports that the Thunderbolt release will be on March 10th.
In an article at Into Mobile, a Best Buy circular shows the phone will be out on March 10th, and have the price-tag of $300. This seems about average for the newest smartphone releases, but most likely people are less concerned with the price-tag, and more interested in getting their paws on the phone as quickly as possible.
Recent rumors have slated the device to be released by Feb 28th, or March 4th, but so far the actual release date has not been released by Verizon Wireless. At this point, it is probably not wise to believe any release dates unless it comes directly from Verizon Wireless, considering the countless release dates that have been reported have all fallen through.
You can even add the HTC Thunderbolt to your shopping cart at the HTC website. This does take a bit of work. On any product page, you can replace the product number in the address bar with the HTC Thunderbolt product number and hit enter. Once you accomplish this, your eyes will light up with delight at seeing the Thunderbolt in your cart. Don't get too happy though, the check-out button is mysteriously missing once the Thunderbolt is added to your shopping cart. Oh well, people can always dream.
Hopefully the March 10th date is accurate, and not another well planned rumor to stir up more anticipation.
Have you pre-ordered the HTC Thunderbolt? If so, were you given an official release date? What are you most looking forward to about the phone?
