HTC Thunderbolt Release Delay Rumored to Be Battery Related

There is a lot of hype right now about the Verizon Wireless HTC Thunderbolt release date, but with multiple reported delays, a lot of customers are starting to become impatient. The newest talk coming from the Thunderbolt rumor mill is that the device is being delayed due to a battery issue. Well, customers definitely donÂ’t want a phone that wonÂ’t hold a charge, so maybe this delay is a good thing.

 

Apparently, Verizon Wireless has pulled the commercials for the device from their YouTube Channel, adding even further speculation that the device is not quite ready for its big debut. According to an article at Gotta Be Mobile, the delay could be due to a firmware update needed to resolve battery and signal issues.

Considering the HTC Thunderbolt release date has reportedly been delayed at least 6 times already, customers are likely wondering what is really going on behind closed Verizon Wireless doors. Thus far, the company is staying mum on dates, but there are some leaked Best Buy ads which reflect the device will be out by March 10.
