Now there is a new version of the well-loved game called Angry Birds Rio. The Rio version of Angry Birds seems to be better than its predecessors. Understandably, those who have an Angry Bird addiction may find it hard to believe the game could get any better, but it seems it has. Then again, anyone who is addicted to Angry Birds, has already paid the fee to download the app, or has taken advantage of the free download which was available on the Amazon AppStore yesterday.
In Previous Angry Bird games, users were tasked with launching various types of fowl at rickety structures which were housing green pigs. The object was to target all pigs, before running out of available birds. Gamers scored extra points for targeting, and hitting all of their green pigs, without using all of their birds.
The new version of Angry Birds Rio is similar in that you still target and launch your various feathered ammo at similar rickety structures, but in the first level the structures are now housing other captive feathered fowl! Once players target, and hit, a captive group of birds, they are released to fly away.
Later in the game players will be tasked with hitting monkeys in a jungle themed level. The monkeys are targeted similar to how the green pigs were in other versions of the game.
The graphics are a huge step up from previous Angry Birds games, and of course with a different theme users now have more crack-like bird flinging to help appease their Angry Bird fix.
Have you played the new Angry Birds Rio? If so, did you download the free version from the Amazon AppStore? Which device do you play Angry Birds from?
