With the Sony Playstation Network down for 3 straight days, Playstation 2 and PS3 video game fanatics may be suffering. Now many are starting to worry about when the PSN will return so gamers can get back online.
According to a report at Zatz Not Funny, the network was taken down by Sony in response to an apparent security breach. Many had believed that the group of cyber hackers known as "Anonymous" was responsible, but the group denied direct involvement. However, they did leave the possibility open that this may be due to some individuals associated with their group or online chat forums.
An update came via the Sony Playstation blog just yesterday, with the company offering apologies for their network being down. They noted they have a time-consuming task, as they are "working around the clock" to re-build their network infrastructure. Sony felt it was time to step up their security measures against hackers. They also noted they'll continue to give updates as they are available.
Of course this doesn't sit well with for many enjoying some free time on Easter weekend. Many gamers love to hop on the Sony Playstation Network and compete against friends in games like "Call of Duty" or "Mortal Kombat." Now they'll have to play the old fashioned way; using a wireless game controller without the association of a live online gaming network. Times are tough, aren't they?

You used right instead of write, whose dimwitted now honkey
Although with the dynamics of next gen consoles, it being used primarily a gaming machine is a bit absurd. With netflix, mlbtv, busy, crackle, qirocity, and media streaming from your pc, the PS3 has become an entertainment center.
Josh....how was my spelling and grammar this time....
