An immigrant smuggling game developed for the Apple iPhone has been rejected. The game, Smuggle Truck: Operation Immigration, was created by Boston based Owlchemy
Labs and was rejected three weeks ago by the Apple App Store.
Wow, no surprise there! It's pretty easy for Owlchemy Labs to create such a game since they are based out of Massachusetts and don't understand the severity of immigrant smuggling to the USA and to immigrants. People die from in a variety of ways as a result of their desire to cross the border into America. It's not a funny subject and it's definitely no game.
The Apple App Store did accept another game purposed by Owlchemy Labs though. Called the Snuggle Truck app, this game focuses on bringing "cute animals from the wilderness to the comfort of a zoo." Seriously, that's like the soft cuddly version of their immigrant smuggling game. It's the animal smuggling game.
Anyhow, what do you think about Apple rejecting a game that focuses on smuggling immigrants from one country into another? Do you think it was the right move on Apple's part or do you think it's just a game and Apple should lighten up?
