If MacGyver were confronted by a crackpot who insisted the world would end on a specific date, would he be able to cobble something together in time to prevent it? Not sure? Well, now you can look it up!
Time is reporting that a new website called MacRecipes has hit the web with a sortable index of every one of Mac's ingenious inventions which always managed to work spectacularly. And more importantly, just in time.
But navigation of the site proves they could have used MacGyver's help to make it as simple as possible. It's a bit clunky mousing over the thousands of tiny recipes and compiling the multitude of ways MG could save the world with just a few items found in just about anyone's junk drawer or your average world-dominating Madman's locked broom closet. Still it seems the site has come online just in time, as usual.
Now let's see... paper clip, book of matches, and aluminum foil gum wrapper. Perfect!
Doomsday? Ha!

Morning Edition Saturday ran a story about these End of the World folks and those who go to the extreme of divesting themselves of all assets.
Do many folks have a kind of death-wish hoping to put an end to what they see as entenable folly and want to scare everyone into better behavior?
Folks like this will continue thru history, I can predict.
Or did the OP with his "Now let's see... paper clip, book of matches, and aluminum foil gum wrapper. Perfect!"?
