The Mac OS X Lion is all set for sale on July 20! Yes, that means today! You will be able to get it via Apple's app store. Needless to say, there has been an amazing amount of buzz over the new Mac Lion. However, will it roar or will it simply whimper?
According to the Apple, "Some [of its features]
include: new Multi-Touch gestures; system-wide support for full screen apps; Mission Control, an innovative view of everything running on your Mac; the Mac App Store, the best place to find and explore great software, built right into the OS; Launchpad, a new home for all your apps; and a completely redesigned Mail app."
So far, so good, right? It will be the cost that's the determining factor as to whether or not a customer thinks it is a good deal or not. The Mac OS X Lion will be available for $29.99. So, it comes down to the person. Do you think that it is worth it or not?
Well, if you do, you will be helping to boost Apple's already great year. Their recently released earnings for this past quarter showed that Apple had a "record quarterly revenue of $28.57 billion and record quarterly net profit of $7.31 billion, or $7.79 per diluted share." Steve Jobs must be sitting pretty right about now.
