There is yet another study out there that says cell phone users aren't in any greater risk for cancer than people who don't use cell phones. This is not the first study to shoot down the cancer scare nor will it probably be the last. This won't ease the paranoia of the anti-mobile phone crowd.![]()
The Associated Press reported that a Danish experiment proves that the chances of a cell phone user to get cancer are pretty much the same as non-users: no really much of a difference. The recent research looked at 350,000+ people, the largest study to assess any cancer/phone connections. Will this mean refunds for whoever bought one of those "cancer-blocking" devices their phones? Probably not.
Numerous studies have already disproved the cancer myth about mobile phones. Even the Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Communication Commission say that phones are safe. The International Agency for Research on Cancer says that the energy emitted is "possibly carcinogenic" but they also say that about coffee.
With roughly 75% percent of world's population going mobile the vocal minority of critics are trying to amplify the 'dangers" to make themselves the heroes. Sure it isn't wise to drive while talking on the phone but the whole cancer thing has gone way out of control.
Does anyone think the cell phone cancer claims are within reason or is more worthwhile to address the celebrity sexting craze? Let us know.
