The moment so many Android fans have waited for is finally here! Folks have been expecting the latest Verizon Wireless 4G Smartphone to hit stores, and even though there were many rumors of delays, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date has finally arrived. At least this release date didn't drag on as some of the earlier Android Smartphone releases have.
The Galaxy Nexus already has its very own Verizon Wireless order page, and an article at the LA Times says the device will indeed go on sale today! It looks like consumers will be able to place this bad boy under the tree after all! Break out the wrapping paper!
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus runs off the Android 4.0 OS, which is otherwise known as Ice-Cream Sandwich. This device also packs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and 1GB RAM. The Galaxy Nexus will sport both front, 1.3 MP, and rear, 5.0 MP cameras. While these are some decent specs, there are other Android devices hitting the market which carry more impressive specs.
That said, there are many other features to this new Android handset, and they will surely keep the techies intrigued for at least a few minutes! That is until another Android phone unveils. With ever-changing technologies it seems as if it is over before it begins with some of these mobile devices.
Do you think the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date so close to Christmas will boost Verizon Wireless sales? Or is this device not as interesting as other Android devices which have recently launched with wireless carrier?
