The new "Elder Scrolls 5" Skyrim creation kit download is reportedly arriving on its release date of Tuesday, February 7th. Apparently the new gaming kit will feature a "special surprise" as well for those downloading it.
A report from Tom's Hardware notes that the new Creation Kit launch was set to come via Steam on Tuesday. It's also reported that "the Creation Kit features the same toolset used to create Skyrim's virtual environment." Additionally it has the ability to build archives. The latest download will be available for free via the Valve digital distribution platform.
By the way there's also been a "special surprise" hinted at for the new Skyrim creation kit. Supposedly this will be "an official high-res texture pack for the PC version of the new game." Unfortunately, that may not sit well with those who aren't using the game on a computer, and instead have it on a video game console.
"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" game from Bethesda Game Studios was released back on November 11th, 2011. It currently is available on Microsoft Windows-based PC's in addition to Sony PS3 and the Xbox 360. The action RPG title has sold millions of copies, and received high-praise from critics and fans.
For those who want to stay up to date with the latest developments and info, it might be a smart idea to follow Pete Hines on his official Twitter account. Earlier in the day he sent messages regarding some issues that may be experienced during downloads. Of course those getting the downloads may be impatient, but it could very well pay off once they have the new download and are able to use it to modify their gaming experience!
