The Street Fighter characters are known for appearing awesome crossover games such as Marvel Vs. Capcom and Capcom Vs. SNK. There is even Street Fighter X Tekken hitting stores next month. A short Twitter conversation between Capcom's community manager and Mortal Kombat's co-creator hinted at what could be the next crossover. Will fans get to see Ryu's fireball collide with Lui Kang's... fireball?
On Friday night on Twitter, Seth Killian, Capcom's community Manager with a Specialty in Street Fighter, thanked legendary video game designer Ed Boon for a chat they had. Ed tweeted back to Seth, "Yes, great catching up with you too. Looking forward to our first MKvsSF meeting. 1st order of business: MKvsSF or SFvsMK. [Winky face]" This looks more like a troll tactic from Mr. Boon, but it would be great to see a SF/MK cross over. The SF characters are more than capable of pulling off a fatality (Akuma's Raging Demon would be the perfect!) and MK side proved that they can tone down for the T rating with the not-so-great crossover game Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe. If SFVMK happens, it will have a lot of people talking.
Ed Boon tweeting having a meeting about Street Fighter Vs. Mortal Kombat doesn't make the game official, but he has shown interest in making the dream game a reality. Boon wants this game to happen. The fans want this game to happen. It's hard to go against logic. Hopefully, that meeting mentioned in that tweet will actually happen.
