Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are not the stars of a new sex tape. Yesterday, websites like Facebook and others were plagued with spam claiming to have a secret "bedroom video" of the young couple. Justin and Selena have a fairly clean image and are not about to let themselves get enmeshed in something so sordid.
How many people actually clicked on the "hidden camera" link is not clear, but it is very obvious the whole story was a fake. Scammers were preying on Jelena fans who were hoping to catch a glimpse of the lovely couple in their most intimate moments. First of all, shame on anybody who did click on the link. If the couple had been the victim of such a horrific crime, it would have been a tragedy.
A firm that specializes in computer security explains, "Using sex videos is not a new technique, and Justin Bieber has had his name used in vain by the scammers on several occasions." Every time a user views and shares the video, the nasty people who created the scam in the first place make money.
The scam is not limited to Facebook. Anybody who reads articles about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will most likely find the link in the comments section of the articles. Be smart, do not even try and feed your voyeuristic urges. Keep in mind, Justin and Selena have an aggressive security team that would never allow a hidden camera to be placed in their midst.
