Anyone contemplating a smartphone purchase may want to hold off as new rumors suggest the Apple iPhone 5 release date may be near. An alleged photo of the Apple smartphone prototype has been unveiled, so Apple fanatics might want to skip buying the current models. At least until these rumors are either confirmed or debunked.
CNET has posted photos of what is claimed to be the smartphone prototype, along with a few specs. Apple lovers will surely be pleased with this news, but how reliable is this tidbit of information? After all, there have been release rumors since... well since before the previous two models released, and all consumers ended up with was a smartphone that talks, and tells everyone where to hide dead bodies.
If the rumors are true, the new device is expected to have a 6-inch screen, which is larger than current models, and a solid state memory ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
Do you think the photos at CNET are of the next Apple smartphone? Can consumers expect an iPhone 5 release date sometime this year?
