Yes, there may be space dinosaurs somewhere out there, and if they are, they could possess human-like intelligence. Ronald Breslow, a chemist at Columbia University, is the one who came up with the theory of these unusual creatures.
According to Breslow, "We would be better off not meeting them." What do you think? If they were giants like the dinosaurs that once roamed Earth, then it could pose a bit of a problem simply because many places would not be suited to their size.
Not everyone is convinced that space dinosaurs could exist. In fact, it makes a writer at the Smithsonian suffer from "brain ache" (just what is that?). This idea supposes there is another planet out there like Earth, and in that planet's history, there was no massive meteorite that hit causing such a dramatic change, so the dinosaurs continued evolving to become the planet's intelligent species. In theory it makes a bit of sense, but ultimately it seems unlikely.
Even if the idea of space dinosaurs is simply a fantasy or wishful thinking, it is still interesting. Could you imagine these giant creatures developing ships and traveling through space to meet their counterparts on Earth? It would be something. Perhaps they will have answers that we do not have yet. That would also be of great interest to scientists here on the third rock from the sun.
If they do exist, would you be interested in making contact with them to see what they know? It could be that aliens are nothing like we expect. In fact, that is likely.

In all of saurian evolutionary time (nearly 200 million years if you include the birds), nothing approaching actual intelligence ever evolved. To this day, neither birds nor reptiles (saurian precursors) have approached mammalian levels of intelligence. Mammals, on the other hand, already had a far greater brain to body weight ratio when the meteor fell than dinosaurs EVER had, and in roughly half the time dinosaurs were around before the meteor fell, mammals evolved enough to produce hominids.
