Apple fans got a new toy recently in the latest tablet released by the leading-edge company, but there was some disappointment with the latest gadget launch. Fans had hoped for an iPad Mini release date, instead of the iPad 3. Though Apple lovers undoubtably wait in line for hours on end no matter what Apple is offering up, there was still a tinge of let-down for those who had wanted the smaller model.
While rumor suggest Apple is still working on the tiny tablet, and will be planning its launch very soon, others feel the company is not going to début a smaller version as Steve Jobs felt the 10-inch model was the "minimum" required. Though the Apple tablet is basically an iPod Touch on steroid, it is still well-loved by consumers.
That said, is it really so far-fetched an idea that Apple might be leading up to an iPad mini release date? Android tablet manufacturers have had smaller versions out for some time, so why wouldn't Apple want to compete with Android competition on that level? It doesn't seem it would hurt Apple stocks anyway.
There are claims that the gadget will launch around Q3 2012 to compete with Windows tablets. Additionally, the seven-inch device is expected to have a price-tag under $300.
What are your thoughts on the iPad Mini? Do you think it's a good idea, or can Apple do better?
