Apple fans are waiting for confirmation on the iPhone 5 release date, rumors of which continue to pile in from sources far and wide. Though the device has not been confirmed, it seems likely Apple is planning a new smartphone release for 2012, as they've debuted a new handset every year since the launch of the first Apple smartphone.
What can Apple aficionados expect from the iPhone 5? Rumors suggest the new device will have everything from a 3D screen, to a Liquidmetal casing. Techies have managed to dig up every possible technology and link it to the iPhone 5 release date.
A recent article calls the rumored Apple smartphone 5 "revolutionary," and quotes a report which stated:
"French designer Philippe Starck announced today on France Info that it is working with the U.S. computer group Apple in a project 'revolutionary' that would emerge in eight months."
Now that sounds like something fans can believe! Apple is known for churning out high-quality, leading-edge products that often have a one-up on other competing gadgets. Of course, Android fans remain faithful to their products, but Apple customers don't seem to be jumping ship at an alarming rate, so the company must be doing something right.
Starck, who is known for revamping products, not creating them, stated he met with Apple visionary Steve Jobs several times in the last seven years before his death last October.
In other Apple news, the iPad 3 has already been tossed aside by many consumers who are anxiously awaiting news about the iPad Mini release date. Apple tablet lovers had thought the newest gadget debuted by the company would be the smaller version, but as of yet they've been left in anticipation.
Not to be outdone, the Samsung Galaxy S3 release date, though not confirmed, will happen sometime in 2012. The Android smartphone is expected to give Apple some stiff competition.
What do you think about the Apple iPhone 5 release bringing a "revolutionary" handset to 2012?
