As rumors surface about the iPhone 5 release date, and the overall design and specs of the 6th generation Apple smartphone, a lot of talk has gone into the display for the upcoming gadget.
Apple has kept with the current 3.5-inch screen since they first launched the iPhone back in June of 2007, but some fans have started to grow tired of what they feel is now a tiny display. With Android devices popping up everyday with larger screens, a lot of smartphone lovers have begun to jump ship and buy those handsets.
A recent article suggest the next Apple device, which is expected to run on iOS 6, will have a 3.999-inch screen. If this is true, the iPhone 5 release date should be a bigger hit than previously expected. The new smartphone will supposedly have a 640 x 1136 screen resolution, which is a bit larger than the earlier 640 x 960 resolution on the 4S model launched last October.
Not all Apple fanatics are happy with the idea of a larger screen, though no one will know what Apple has planned untill the iPhone 5 release date, which analysts believe will be sometime in October.
