It appears that Amazon's Kindle Fire 2 release date could be coming soon, as the company will look to battle the likes of its new competition. Both the Google Nexus 7, and rumored smaller iPad tablets are currently looking to take over the market.
According to Tech Newsaurus, the Kindle Fire release date announcement could come on July 31st, with the tablet itself becoming available as early as August 7th. It's clear that if this happens, Amazon is moving fast in an effort to combat the aforementioned tablets. The Nexus 7 has already been impressing customers, for a low price point, with its fast processor, slick display, and other specs. It also includes Android Jellybean, one of the best operating systems on a tablet so far.
A report on Yahoo! just a few days ago has indicated that Nexus 7 is selling out, and that Kindle Fire won't sell as well because of Google's newest device. The Apple iPad shouldn't be forgotten either, as there is speculation a smaller version of that tablet could be on the way later this year. However, it has been noted that Fire tablet customers may have 3 options to choose from in terms of features and price, once the items are made available. With that in mind, Amazon may be looking to quickly offer several alternatives to the Nexus. They'll just need to make sure their specs and features are good enough, or else a "Fire sale" could be in order.
