New iPhone rumors say the 6th generation Apple smartphone may be delayed due to part shortages. This isn't the first time part shortage rumors related to the iPhone 5 launch have hit the Internet, so hopefully Apple has a back-up plan for any overwhelming demand.
An article at ZDNet says, "Worries about whether Apple's iPhone 5 will be delayed due to a shortage of 28 nanometer processors are surfacing again. The semiconductor supply issue is no small matter given Apple missed Wall Street's fiscal third quarter earnings and revenue estimates and has a slower product cycle than rivals like Samsung."
At this time iPhone rumors place the launch of the iOS 6 smartphone in October, but some analysts believe the new model will début before then, possibly as soon as next month.
Do you think the new chip shortage rumors are anything for Apple fans to worry about? Will you be buying the new iPhone 5 once it's released?
