The Kindle Fire 2 release date rumors have yet to settle down, as now reports of price drops on current eReaders by Amazon, as well as lack of availability of some models, may be an indication that new versions are on the way. Does this mean the Kindle Fire tablet will be among the updates in the very near future?
According to a report on Kindle rumors from Technewsaurus, a recent $110 price drop on its DX eReader, as well as two of the devices becoming scarce in terms of availability, could be signs that the new lineup will be here - as soon as next week. It seems that just recently, Amazon has been promoting its current roster of the gadgets, most likely in an attempt to clear out current stock, and bring in the newest editions. For example, not only is the DX on sale, but Kindle Touch takes at least 8-9 days before it's available for shipment, while the Kindle Touch 3G is said to be currently unavailable.
There have been multiple sources including Gizmodo and TechnoBuffalo stating that some believe Amazon will unveil its new lineup of Kindles next week. However, the latter of these sites suggest it would be wisest of Amazon to wait until a bit later. The plan would be to wait until later in September or October, until after Apple has unveiled its new iPhone and iPad to the world, so that then Amazon can have a fighting chance at market share. Otherwise, unveiling these new Kindles and eReaders next week could really lose steam as those Apple products are expected by September 20th.
Do you think Amazon will bring out new eReaders next week, or wait a bit later to reveal their newest products? Are you more interested in the new Kindle Fire 2 release date, the iPhone, or the iPad Mini?

My first Kindle is still hanging in there. If you're like me, you use it every day or night : )
It's something I thought I would not use a whole lot and ended up using 7 days a week.
