The iPhone 5 release date is expected to be announced next week at the Apple iPhone event which the technology giant confirmed by sending out press invites. Multiple rumors say the new handset will be redesigned, but the accompanying earbuds are reportedly getting a new look as well.
Recent video reveals what is believed to be redesigned Apple earbuds. If the gadget shown in the video is the real deal it will be the first change to Apple's design in "more than 10 years," and according to one blog is a "much-needed refresh." This sounds like a great idea as long as the change in design will mean the new buds fit in the ear more securely than the current design.
"When they are worn, they have a much smaller profile. They have the appearance of a fully integrated, single unit - there's no part that looks like it would come apart - not like earbuds; the integrated design is characteristic of Apple products."
Apple fans will have to wait until next week to find out exactly what changes the iPhone 5 release date will bring to the Apple smartphone world. The handset is expected to début on the 12th and launch later this month.
