The new iPhone 5 is expected to launch next week, but the rivaling Samsung Galaxy S III Android handset has already hit the market, and has record-breaking sales. It looks like the S III is going to get the Android Jelly Bean update next week, so the device will be even more envious to Android smartphone fans.
An article at Examiner says the S III has reached 20 million sales in just 100 days. Clearly this device is the smartphone to own -- for now. However the new Windows 8 Nokia Lumia smartphones, and the upcoming iPhone 5 plan to yank some of those sales out from under Samsung.
An article from earlier today says "several test builds of the Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update leaked to the surface, including a near perfect one yesterday," and adds that it seems company is "poised to release the software to international owners of the software next week."
Samsung has not confirmed whether the Jelly Bean rollout will happen next week. In fact, the only statements about the popular smartphone and Jelly Bean from Samsung say only that the rollout will happen "very soon."
Do you think the new Samsung smartphone will get the Jelly Bean update next week?
