The Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch tablet has been placed on sale at Amazon's website once again. It appears the E-reader and tablet manufacturer is looking to clear out more of their stock on the larger device, as the smaller version of the tablet has been the most popular of the tech gadgets, so far.
The new Kindle Fire sale, as reported in holidaygiftnation.com, is available for the larger versions of the tablet and runs through February 8th, 2013. The standard Wi-Fi only version of the 8.9-inch tablet is discounted by $30, while the LTE version is reduced by $50. For those keeping track that makes the Wi-Fi tablet just $269, and the 4G LTE tablet $449. Only one discount is allowed per customer though, with the promo code "FIRELOVE."
That makes for a decent savings on the device, as the tablets are great devices for multimedia consumption including reading ebooks, watching movies or videos, browsing the internet, checking email messages and more. It looks like Amazon is spreading the love ahead of Valentine's Day, with this deal as well, as it ends about a week before the big day arrives. It seems to make a perfect way to show some love with a tablet loaded with your sweetheart's favorite music, movies, or books!
With the Kindle Paperwhite and the Fire HD tablets, Amazon continues to enjoy decent sales, although nothing like what Apple has reported for its iPad tablets. Still, with Amazon's latest deal, they could spread more of their devices into the population, encouraging more content consumption, the way they truly make their money. It still remains to be seen if these larger tablets will be phased out in lieu of the smaller versions though.
Do you currently own a Kindle Fire HD tablet or the Paperwhite, or another tablet? What do you think of the device?
